New Tradition

Justin and I started a tradition that has been going a solid six weeks now:)  We take turns taking the kids on dates on Thursday nights.  They love it!  And even though it can get hectic to get dinner and get them out the door in time to have fun before bed time, it's totally worth it.  Top picture was Anna and I's last date.  We hiked around the red cliffs, got followed around by a guy with a million tattos, ran through a tunnel yelling "Echo!", ok only Anna yelled it, and got a mild shake on the way home.... and btw the whole time we were pretending to be various characters.  She is super into pretend right now.  Although one of her favorites is, "I'll be the Mommy and you be the kid, and pretend you want to do something and I tell you no,"  Not sure how I feel about that one...

Daddy and Anna went to the new Yogurt land in town.  And Josh has had three dates so far but no pictures, we obviously don't love him as much:)  Although he looks forward to these dates the most.  Kindergarten has been a little rough on him.  He loves school, but hates being away from home.   With me he wanted to go get doughnuts so bad!!  We tried three stores ( most are sold out by evening) and finally found some, then we chatted.  He doesn't pretend constantly anymore - he's more into saying things like, "Butt!"  snorting and then laughing because he thinks he's sooo hilarious.  BOYS!  Max will get dates too when he's old enough to care:)  And I did tell Justin he had to work me into the rotation as well....
Some other random pictures.  These boys love each other so much.

I let these two play together for quiet time one day and this is what I found.  Them in swim suits building a zip line.  Love it!
