I understand better what people mean when they say that the days just fly by. I've reached one of those points. I try and take a moment each day to really look at my children. To memorize their faces, their expressions, because it is going by so so fast.
I've been waiting to post Josh's first day of school, because I don't have pictures yet (we had a slight problem with photoshop). But I don't want to forget, so I'll write now and post pictures later....
I want to remember that it was pouring rain, and that he begged to take the bus to school. (But no one was going to deprive me of walking my first child into their kindergarden class and taking a picture).
I want to remember that I don't have one picture of him looking at the camera because his eyes were darting everywhere in the classroom.
I want to remember that now, a month later,he still gives me a super huge hug goodbye and runs of the bus yelling, "Mom!" and jumps at me as fast as he can because, "he misses us as soon as he's gone" even though he "really loves school"
I want to remember that all my kids are still little and pushing him to do his practicing before school only resulted in tears - that our house is happier when we don't try and get too much done, but move at a sometimes maddeningly slow distracted pace.
I want to remember how much more confident he's become in making new friends, especially the day that he came home from school and told me, in response to my "what did you do at recess question." "Well there was a boy just watching us play and I asked him why he wasn't playing and he said he didn't have any friends so I played soccer with him."
I want to remember that the above story happened just a couple of weeks after I had to drive him to school because he was crying and felt like he had no one to sit with on the bus.
I want to remember that on the way to his violin lesson last week he told me, "Mom I am not excited to be gone all day in first grade next year, but I guess everyone's got to go through it."
I want to remember the crazy amounts of energy that he has - who knew that boys hit? not to be mean just because they are soooo physical and they think it's funny and a way to play.....
I want to remember him practicing violin. He loves it, and likes to, "rock out" between songs....
I wish my memory was better, so when these moments are gone I could just replay them in my head perfectly. Thank goodness for thousands of pictures.

Anna's First Day
My chica all ready for her first day of joyschool. She was sooo sooo soo excited. And was ready hours in advance. She is in a preschool as well. Meaning that she is in school 4 days a week. I really struggled with that decision for a little bit, but she loves it! Whenever I pick her up from school she says, "It was such a short day Mommy."
She was very specific about her hair accessories:) I love the joy school curriculum and I love the preschool she's going to. And as long as Max takes a morning nap I have an hour and a half to myself 4 days a week. So nice, but I still miss her...
And just because he's cute:)

Oh I have Missed Blogging
With the craziness of moving it has been far too long since I have written. I discovered this week though that blogging/journaling etc is kind of essential for my well being. I've been in kind of a funk, then I had a moment, a childless moment.....let's all take a second and appreciate childless moments...... and I took the time to write in Max's journal. Funk gone. I think the process of reflecting, writing, appreciating etc. makes me remember why I do what I do and how absolutely wonderful my life is. Other contributing factors to my new funkless state may have been a new gym membership, and a good nights sleep, but I definitely think all three things contributes. Anyways, I just heard Max wake up, so I'm just going to share some random Taylor pictures from the last couple of months super quick....
Josh is very talented.
He is darling.... And now he is crawling everywhere!
This is what couch pillows are good for at our house.
They fight over this poor boy. He is definitely loved.
